We have a Health and Safety Policy in line with the Health and Safety Act, 1974.
Under the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, we undertake a risk assessment of the workplace and provide employees with adequate training.
All play equipment complies with British Standards. Natural play resources, such as sticks, branches etc. are risk assessed before play commences.
Our recruitment policy ensures that all staff are appropriately qualified, have relevant experience and are Disclosure and Barring Service checked.
Risk assessments are carried out at both the beach settings, the learning studio and other sites we use by trained staff prior to the arrival of children each day. Risks are addressed before the children arrive on site.
Marina toilet facilities are provided and maintained in accordance with health and safety standards.
The secure online registry records child's name, date of birth, details of their parents or carers and emergency contact details. Any health or dietary needs are recorded, and notes are kept of any accidents, illnesses or medical treatment administered to the child, to be signed by the parents/carers upon collection, or notified immediately in the event of an emergency.
Under the Food Hygiene Regulations 2006, all businesses preparing or supplying food, must register with the environmental health department. We use such a provider.

When you send your child to Playology, we receive information about you and/or your spouse, and your child, in a number of ways:

This is optional, and you can opt out of receiving email updates at any time. Please just drop us an email to hello@playologylearning.com and we can remove you from the list. Note: You will still receive critical business updates, and information about your child.
How long do we keep your information?
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Welfare Requirements say that we must keep personal information like registers, medication records and accident records for at least 3 years after your child has left Outdoor Owls.
Who do we share your information with?
Generally, we only use your information within Playology. There are some occasions when we need to share personal information about you and / or your child with third parties. These are:
If you choose to pay with childcare vouchers, we will share the minimum amount of your personal information necessary with the voucher scheme operator, so they can identify you and make the appropriate payments to us on your behalf.
If your child is entitled to Nursery Education Funding, we are required to share your personal details with the local council authority in order to identify your child and prove entitlement to funding.
It is possible that we could receive requests from government departments, the police and other enforcement agencies. If there is a proper legal basis for sharing your personal information, we will provide it to the organisation that is asking for it.
In case of an emergency, we may need to share details of your child with the emergency services, including details of any medical conditions as provided to us by you.

Where do we store and process your data?
We use third party data processors; these are secure online (cloud-based) systems and any personal information is password protected in our own private environment.

As some of these third party systems are based outside of the UK, your personal information may be stored in servers outside the UK. We will, however, only use your information in the UK.
