Play & Create is a great opportunity for your child to learn and develop their own creative skills in an age appropriate way.

During this class, children will be welcomed by a diverse selection of creative and sensory experiences for them to explore independently.

Designed with love, this art-meets-story time class will comprise of free range artful, creative play, with a transition to the table where children can engage in an open-ended teacher-led project.

The process-oriented project places an emphasis on exploration, creativity, and imagination. Throughout the programme we will dive into a range of open-ended art and creative experiences that will expand our understanding of what we can do with materials.

We'll work with both 2-d and 3-d materials. We'll paint, print, flick, collage, sprinkle, stick, attach, squish, smear, splat... - and do all the fun actions exploring their consequences in our safe little studio igniting imagination, encouraging innovation, building creative confidence, and above all else being amazingly fun!

Because creativity is not exclusive to art, we will touch on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics) and other expressive, exploratory learning experiences.

This is an hour and fifteen minute long child only session. Adults are welcome to stay, or wait nearby at the Marina, go for coffee, walk on the beach; have some ‘me’ time in a beautiful setting!
